Raising the standards in manufacturing,
Our commitment to sustainability
Energy efficiency and conservation has been gathering momentum in the region. New green building codes are being considered and implemented by several regional and overseas regulatory authorities. Easy Ducts is among the early adopters of energy efficient technologies and best practices in environment friendly manufacturing processes.
Saving the environment
for future generations today
The Easy Ducts manufacturing facility in DIP-2 is designed around new-generation of water based polyols that are specially formulated and developed to produce environmentally friendly pre-insulated panels to effectively control damage to the ozone layer.
Pre-empting changes in government environmental laws with a requirement to reduce CFC/HCFC usage by 2040, Unigulf Air Conditioning Industries LLC began work in advance to become an early adopter of these laws. Unigulf implemented constructive changes in product chemistry and introduced significant upgrades to the manufacturing plant and machinery in 2015/2016. This was achieved by a strong collaboration with suppliers and industry experts to develop a special Polyol blend to achieve ODP level of zero and GWP of <5 for more hygienic air movement.
Breathe easy with Easy Ducts, CFC/HCFC free products
According to the Ministry of Environment & Water, Decree No. 33 of January 30, 2012, the Regulation for Handling and Use of CFC/HCFCs is complete elimination of the use of CFC/HCFCs by 2040. Unigulf’s next generation products are formaldehyde and asbestos free and the panels, by virtue of being water based, are already free of these Hydro chlorofluorocarbons and hence are well ahead of their time – next generation, so to speak.
With the recently developed chemical formulations, the new EASY Pre-Insulated Ducts have significant impact on energy conservation. This has resulted in better thermal efficiency that has improved to 0.021 (W/m.K).
Micro-organisms such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella Thyphimurium, Listeria monocytogenes, Legionellae Pneumophila, tend to grow on duct surfaces. In order to arrest and combat the growth of these dangerous micro-organisms that contaminate indoor air quality, Unigulf made important changes in the raw materials to effectively tackle the propagation of these bacteria and microbes.
The new EASY Pre-insulated Panels, a composite of aluminium foil and PUR/PIR, now have superior hygienic aluminium facing and are lacquered with a special antibacterial coating. This helps in curbing the growth of micro-organisms. These new anti-bacterial panels are manufactured especially for hospitals, cleanrooms, the packaged food industry and pharmaceutical applications where high levels of hygiene are mandatory. It is an established fact that aluminium is anti-corrosive as compared to metal ducts and the lacquered surface prevents oxidation and enhances the anti-corrosive properties of the ducts, ensuring a longer-lasting product that is resistant to corrosion and deformation. This product is far more rigid and hence complies with specifications of consultants and the needs of contractors/developers.
Certified to exceed all quality expectations
Unigulf has made a conscious effort to stay ahead of the game and has successfully achieved and maintained its status as one of the leading manufacturers of pre-insulated panels. With the supply of water-based panels that are free CFC/HCFC blowing agents and is way ahead of the 2040 vision for the elimination of the use of CFC/HCFCs. Notable Unigulf was one of the earlier companies to achieve the mandatory DCL certification for its range of pre-insulated panels.
Focused on maintaining quality control processes, Unigulf Air Conditioning Industries LLC continues to obtain approvals for its production control and quality management systems, like Exova certification
(Certifier CF 777), UL Greenguard and TUV ISO Management System certified.
Products comply with American and European standards and are certified by world renowned testing laboratories, which enable supply of these products in regions such as MENA, South Asia, Europe and the USA.
